Hi everyone! Any runners in the group? I just started training for a half-marathon and I'm trying to scrounge up running partners! I'm really slow (about 11-12 min mile), but would love the company if anyone wants to join me. I usually run in the mornings, but can be flexible. Let me know!

I will probably be there working there in one way or another since Cindy works for Komen now but I would like to be involved with the church group also.

how long do u think the ride will take? the park closes at sundown doesn it? this ride is on dirt trails?

We are going mountain biking Tuesday July 14, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. Meet at the East Overlook on Raccoon Mountain. We will ride the easy trails (Electric Avenue) from the overlook. Everyone welcome and bring a helmet. Directions are below. Give me a call 593-4035 if you get lost.

Take Interstate 24 West out of downtown Chattanooga.
Go about 3 miles and take exit 175 onto Brown's Ferry Rd.
Turn right on Brown's Ferry Rd.
Go about 1 mile and turn left onto Elder Moutain Rd. (there is a small store here)
Go through the roundabout and start up the mountain.
Turn left onto the Raccoon Mountain TVA property (there is a sign)
Turn left again and go up the mountain.
The East Overlook parking area is at the top of the mountain (there is a sign)

Hey Steven,glad to have you. We have a number of people who are interested in a variety of outdoor activities. We are working on getting a rafting trip and a paintball game together along with another mountain biking ride. When the weather cools off we will try to get some backpacking trips together also. Several of us are hikers and mountain bikers and JC is a road biker, and runner. Let's try to touch base at church.

Sounds like fun but we have my son's baseball party to go to that day. Hope you all have fun. Maybe we can get involved next time.
