Is anyone else amazed by the Preface? It took me forever to get to Chapter 1, because the Preface was so great! LOL

Missed you all again last night. Things are still crazy with my father-in-law's situation. Please pray for him as he is having surgery today on his spine/neck and tomorrow on his pelvis.

We're still finding ourselves at the hospital from morning to night. They are starting to take shifts, so Ryan does come home in the evenings...around 7/7:30ish. So glad I get to see him again!:)

This situation has really thrown our family for a loop. Keep the whole family in your prayers, if you will. They are trying to keep the business afloat, get insurance matters settled, and visit with Sam when they can.

We're still believing for a miracle!!!!

Miss you all so much and looking forward to the day I can get back with you all!:)

Praying that you are all having a wonderful week! Below are some verses that remind me of God's unfailing love. Can't wait to see you on Wednesday! :)

Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, extend to the skies, and Your faithfulness to the clouds. (Psalm 36:5).

But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation). And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).-Ephesians 2:4-6

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings (Psalm 36:7).

Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love (Psalm 48:9).

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever (Psalm 52:8).

But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness (Psalm 86:15).

Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever (Psalm 136:26).

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:"I have loved you with an everlasting love;I have drawn you with loving-kindness" (Jeremiah 31:3).

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you,he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17).

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life  or his friends (John 15:13).

As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Now remain in my love (John 15:9).

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35-39).

Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God (Ephesians 5:2).

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4-5).

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:9-10).

Surely goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place (Psalm 23:6).

2 new video links-
We are homeschooling right now, and currently studying the moon. I found this info today, which many of you may already know. I found it to go perfectly with Chapter 1, so I thought I would share it with you. I am including a link to 2 great videos including their reading of the creation story. Enjoy!

On Christmas Eve 1968, three astronauts of the Apollo 8 spacecraft became the first manned space mission to safely orbit the Moon, successfully achieving the feat. They were James “Jim” Lovell, William Anders and Frank Borman. Apollo 8 did not carry lunar landing craft. Instead, the astronauts observed the lunar surface for possible future landing sites.

Apollo 8 entered lunar orbit on the morning of December 24, 1968. For the next 20 hours the astronauts circled the Moon, which appeared out their windows as a gray, battered wasteland. They took photographs, scouted future landing sites, and on Christmas Eve read from the Book of Genesis to TV viewers back on Earth. They also photographed the first Earthrise as seen from the Moon. Apollo 8 proved the ability to navigate to and from the Moon, and gave a tremendous boost to the entire Apollo program.

Do any of you remember this? It's amazing to me to watch it now, over 40 years later. I can't imagine seeing it at the time! Incredible!

Hi everyone!
It was great spending time with all of you last night! Thanks for sharing your wonderful insights and your experiences with the group. It's amazing to ponder that while we are just "specks", we are daughters of THE king, who are greatly treasured and loved beyond measure! ;)
